The birthday party

David 8/15
Ian 8/17
Parker 8/26

Having it the day after the wedding made it a little anti-climatic, but thanks to Nicki and a transformer pinata - it turned out to be a pretty good party.

Ian is totally in love with aunt nicki, asks where she is all the time and totally snuggles her hardcore whenever he can.

The hot tub

The last few days have been kind of chilly so Ian decided he would rather swim in the hot tub than the lake. He also decided that the hot tub takes the place of baths as well.

The wedding - aka the longest day

The Palmyra Temple - 10:45am

Luncheon at Mirbeau - 2:30pm

Open house on the beach 6:00pm.

This was taken moments before James threw up on cami's wedding dress.

The after-party.....

Good Luck Cami and Mike - you guys are cute.

The Rehersal Dinner

Mike's family came on Monday so by the time we had the rehersal dinner, we had already hiked the falls, tubed and played at the lake, taken Cami through the temple and seen the sites in Palmyra. It was nice to just sit back and relax before the big day.

On the water

We've spent lots of time down at the beach hanging out. Both Ian and James love the water.

Ian has no fear - jumps off the trampoline, the dock, the boat and has gotten really good at swimming in his life jacket.

we had a couple of chances to sail. James fell asleep and we put him in the cabin and Ian hung out with uncle dave.

The Jensens visit the lake

We were so excited that the Jensens drove up from MD to visit us one last time before they leave for Germany. Ian and Sadie loved each other - they played for hours in the water together.
We were especially excited to meet Taylor. He was so mellow and cute and already walking so well.

On the second day they were here we went to Palmyra to see some of the church sites. Here are nicole and the kids at the visitors center at Hill Cumorah.
Sadly, this may be the only family picture we have taken all summer.

The cousins sitting at the monument on top of the hill.
We also saw the Palmyra temple, the Smith farm and the Sacred Grove.
Just as we were entering the grove, the kids found a frog in the middle of the path and starting freaking out about it. It was really reverent and didn't ruin the experience for anyone else who was there.
Good luck in Germany Nicole and Greg - we can't wait to visit you there!
