They are here

My parents arrived last night. They spent a good 3 hours chasing, tickling, scaring, bathing, loving my kids. We have missed them.

Conversation with Ian today:
Ian: Josie says kisses are disgusting.
Me: She is wrong.
Ian: Yep - they are delicious. I once saw my friend eat a kiss. Yeah he ate his mom's lips and then burped. That WAS disgusting.

Mice

Wednesday I took Ian and Josie (for her birthday present) to the Seattle Children's Theatre. We saw:

It was so fun. The kids loved it and we got to hang out with the Leonard cousins all day, too.

Go Alligators

Ian's second season of soccer has proven to be much better than the first. He is at least excited to play this time - but is still a bit distracted (read: 18 high fives from the coach, six thumbs up to dad and 2 blown kisses to mom). He somehow still manages to score at least once a game.

This must have been one of the times he walked up to his coach and said "I'm done."

Go number 6!

Ian also had his first Primary Program on Sunday. He was darling - even during the opening talk when he halfway climbed up the podium to tell the speaker where his dad was.

He gets better with age

Curt - I love you 33.

Something scary.

Something(s) cute.

Practicing their "trick-or-treat"s.

Notice the rain...how very NW. We didn't let it stop us from trick-or-treating or from partying late into the night with the Penrods.

Happy anniversary mom and dad! Hurry and come visit.

Second pumpkin run

This one was to Maris Farms for Ian's school field trip. Here he is with his class and his teacher, Miss Rhonda. He loves her.

BFFs.

Petting the bunny.

Could at least one of them look at me and smile?

The hay ride.

Pumpkin carving party

Last night we celebrated Halloween and Jim Jones birthday. We made lots of creepy things to eat.

And made a mess of our garage.

The finished products. I wanted to get a picture of the kids with their pumpkins but there was way too much chaos for that to happen.

The Scooby Doo after party.

It has been raining

- so I have been sewing. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to make the boys yummy warm robes for winter (in Seahawks colors). They detest them. Actually, Ian likes the idea of his robe but won't keep it on for more than 30 seconds. James starts screaming "off, off, off" as soon as i put his on. Really, I don't know what I was thinking.

Caution - this may make you motion sick.

The first pumpkin run

This is by far my favorite October activity - especially when it is perfectly crisp, sunny, sweater weather.

And especially when you get to go with lots of friends.

And ride in a wheel barrow.

There was a tractor to climb on.

And lots of animals to look at.

And a corn maze to walk hand and hand through.

And creepy seven dwarves photo ops.
