Aunt Nunu

Last weekend my sister cami came to visit us from BYU so she could meet James. It was so fun to have her here - I'm already scheming how I can get her back as soon as possible. It turns out that we took most of the pictures with her camera, not mine - here is what I have:

My baby sister and my baby. He fell asleep every time he was in her arms - which was a lot, especially when we found out she had the magic touch.

Cutest cowboy shirt courtesy of the very crafty laura daines.

Ian started calling cami nunu last summer when he couldn't say her name. Now he is perfectly capable of saying her name but calls her nunu anyway (or ash - on accident). Of all the nicknames he could have chosen - it is the most random and charming, I hope it sticks.

more days with more grandparents

Since both boys were sick - we spent a lot of time hanging out at the house (sorry mom and dad). Grandpa got in some good talks with with james.

and played lots of games with ian, when he wasn't sleeping or so delirious with a fever that he put his grandma on time-out and wouldn't let her off (i've never seen him so sad and cranky).

By saturday everyone was feeling much better - and Grandma Barbara & Grandpa Ray arrived from OR. James is especially happy to share his name with G-pa Raymond James.

How cute is my mom? I feel so lucky that we got to spend a few days with my parents - I think they are the best ever - and I hate that we are so far away. Thankyou for coming to visit us and for loving our boys so much - it means everything.

Grandma and Grandpa meet James

Grandma and Grandpa Clay arrived on Wednesday for a short visit with us. We picked them up at the airport and headed to the International District for delish sushi at Maneki and shopping at the best asian market ever (for my mother, a surprisingly expert asian cook - she made us chicken korma and chicken satay last night).
My mom is also always taking pictures - so we finally have some updates on the boys.

Grandma and Grandpa meet James.
Every one loves to kiss the baby.

He's cute - like a little old man.

He pulls his hair like Parker.
Ian has been keeping grandpa busy - despite the fact that he is sick.

James' bath this morning.

nonstop motormouth

Ian is at the stage when he is changing from saying things funny to saying funny things. For example - last night he said this:
"pants off - nakedee time" - and it sure was, until his dad said he couldn't ride his bike without pants. I think that is a rule that will stick.

2008

I can't believe it is 2008. It makes me feel oldie old old. Or maybe it is the no sleep and bags under my eyes that makes me feel old. Or the knot in my shoulder from carrying around babies.
Here is what the Leonard children look like the first week of 2008.
New Year's Eve we went to a get together at the Goff's house. The adults played the wii (and i think we need one now) and the kids ran around, literally, like crazy people all night long. It might be the first time ian has ever stayed up that late - and we now know, from the completely hysterical, slurring his speech, delirious melt down when we left- that we won't let him do that again for a while.
Happy New Year!
