the last two weeks

curt's sister nicole came to town with her two kids and we did lots of fun stuff - the boeing flight museum, the olympia children's museum and lots and lots of crazy cousin playdates. yesterday we got some good pics of ian saying goodbye to micah and sadie.

ian has also been learning to play the bass guitar with daddy
and i discovered that i can make an entire dinner before ian gets sick of playing in the sink.
and here is my absolute favorite word that ian says - outside

A to the sh

saturday aunt ashley came to visit. she is ian's new favorite person in the whole world because when he wakes up every day she is still here to play with him. whenever she is out of his sight he calls her name "ashth". today we went to the point defiance park zoo in tacoma.

we were welcomed by a big peacock when we first walked in.

then ian rode the merry go round - somehow we stuck him on a horse when he could have ridden a pig or a dog/woof woof

next we stopped by the playground and petting zoo - this zoo is so kid friendly - i loved it.

we also saw an animal show (which ian sat through amazingly fascinated), the aquarium, and lots of other animals - here are the highlights.

An Easter post

for my mom - because she made ian an easter basket just like the ones she made us when we were little, and she filled it with books and balls and candy and lots of good stuff - and sent it to us all the way from NY. Thanks mom!

I hid his easter basket in his favorite hiding spot.

Then we had an easter egg hunt in the living room. I had no idea how fun it is to watch little kids find easter eggs.

Ian in his easter outfit

During breakfast I was making conversation with him and telling him why we celebrate Easter and as soon as I said Jesus Christ he said "amen". It was so funny. Anyway, I really don't know if I can wait until next easter for another egg hunt ....

The Woodland Park Zoo

On friday we went to the Seattle zoo with my friend Christina and her kids. It was perfect 80 degree weather - and so fun now to see ian react to the animals (although the ducks are equally as exciting as the tigers). Here are Ian and connor taking a rest.

Playing at the zoomasium

ian refused to stay in the wagon and ran after the other 3 boys - which ment that I chased him all over the park. He fell asleep the second we got into the car.

Ian hearts tomato sauce

He is actually slurping here...

Here he is crawling through his tunnell with curt already in it (just in case you forgot what he looks like when he is clean - sort of).
