Something else to look at.

We have actually had some really beautiful, sunny days the last couple of weeks and the boys have spent lots of time riding bikes, going to the park and playing on the swingset in the backyard.

This kind of get-up (below) usually happens at some point during the day. For some miraculous reason he has a shirt on.


Ian's latest favorite things to say:
I love you past the world (he really is so sweet when he isn't torturing his brother).
It was an accident.
I take it back.
You are a meany (possibly the most irritating phrase ever invented by him).
This is the worst day ever.
(usually in that order as the day progresses)

James latest favorite things to say:
love you so much.
Want my batman.
mama what doing?
mama what doing?
mama what doing?
mama where going?
E's hit me (followed by some incriminating detail - poor Ian can't get away with anything anymore).

But the real reason for lack of blogging is my crafting obsession. It just seems like the right thing to do in the middle of winter.

Design Mom

Ian's birth story is posted today on Design Mom - I love reading her blog, she makes me want to be a more fabulous, creative, and productive mom.

Today is special...

for two reasons:
1. It is my mom's birthday! The older I get the more I realize I am more and more like my mother. That makes me happy, because I have always admired my mother's many talents and I am relieved that I have inherited at least a few . It is also a little scary (mostly for Curt). HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! We love you so much.
Me: Let's call grandma it is her birthday.
Ian: How old is she?
Me: 54
Ian: Woah! That is a BIG number.

Me: James what are you doing? (after hearing the chair crash to the ground)
Ian: He is building a fort so my bakugon doesn't get his bunny.

Things I love about Curt at 8 years:

Everything.

So it has been a while...

But we are all still here (and curt has a beard).

Well, last weekend we were in Portland.



We got a babysitter and went out for a joint Marisa/Amy birthday dinner. It was super fun, and so nice to get away for a bit. It think I am starting to get the winter blues...maybe Marisa will come up and decorate my house or something - hers is so cute.
